Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. PDFSpry renders your PDF pages into images locally in your browser. Your document is not uploaded for processing, and the images are created on your device.
Can I convert only certain pages?
Yes. Choose Selected pages and enter pages or ranges such as 1,3,5-7. Each page becomes its own image, downloaded one at a time.
Can I choose JPG or PNG?
Yes. JPG gives smaller files and suits photos and scans. PNG is lossless and keeps text and line art crisp, at a larger file size.
Which resolution should I use?
High (about 144 DPI) suits most screens and documents. Standard (about 108 DPI) makes smaller files. Very High (about 216 DPI) is sharper but uses more memory, especially on phones. Very large pages are reduced automatically to fit browser limits.
Does PDFSpry change the original PDF?
No. Your PDF stays exactly as it is; PDFSpry only renders the pages you choose into new images. You can convert one PDF of up to 100 MB at a time. Password-protected PDFs aren't supported yet.
