Split PDF

Extract pages or split a PDF into separate files.

Files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

How to split a PDF

  1. Step 1: Select your PDF.
  2. Step 2: Choose the pages or ranges you want, or split every page.
  3. Step 3: Split and download the new PDF files.

All processing happens locally in your browser. Your document is not uploaded for processing, and PDFSpry doesn't store it.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. PDFSpry splits your PDF locally in your browser. Your document is not uploaded for processing, and the new PDF files are created on your device.

Can I extract only a few pages?

Yes. Choose Extract pages and enter the pages you want, such as 1,3,5-7. You get one new PDF containing just those pages, in their original order.

Can I split every page into a separate PDF?

Yes. Choose Split every page to get one PDF per page, each with its own download button. For long documents, Split by ranges can be quicker if you only need a few parts.

Does splitting reduce PDF quality?

No. Pages are copied into the new PDFs as they are. PDFSpry doesn't convert them to images or re-compress them, so text and images keep their original quality.

What is the maximum PDF size?

You can split one PDF of up to 100 MB at a time. Password-protected PDFs aren't supported yet, so remove the password first.
